New Bike. New bumps.

Yesterday we found a nice bike for Parker. Today he received a sad injury to his toe, but not because of his new bike. Parker was moving a brick when it smashed his second toe on his right foot. It began bleeding. He refused a band aid until I offered a cotton ball. He may not have a toe nail soon but he's surviving. I was able to cheer him up with the offer of getting his new bike out. He became very happy and nearly forgot about his injury.
Here's Willie helping to get the bike all ready for use. Training wheels were a great addition. Soon we will take the time to really teach him how to ride two wheels only.
Going a little fast around the corners. He went right into the fence. We do have a helmet for him. Henry happened to be asleep in the room that it was in. Once Henry woke up we put the helmet on Parker.
Lincoln on the other hand doesn't really need a helmet yet. He was excited to get pushed around. We'll have to teach him how the pedals work. It's sad that we've had this tricycle for over six months and Lincoln has never had the opportunity to ride. Poor kid. He's happy now.

General Conference.

During conference we tried to keep the boys entertained. A friend told us to use marshmallow and toothpicks. What a great idea. Parker loved it but Lincoln wasn't as interested. We put stickers on the Apostles when they spoke. We tried to play Conference Bingo, but I guess that only worked last time. It's a hit and miss with the boys. I suppose we will have to think of other activities next time. The boys loved having a picnic for dinner two nights in a row. Conference was being broadcast during dinner time.
After conference on Sunday we took a walk to a pond. We enjoyed the new little additions. The boys loved throwing bread at them. Parker got in his pj's before we went. While we were there he found a hole of water but he didn't think that it went too deep. He stepped in and was wet up to his shins. We had to change pj's when we got home.

Lincoln has a love hate relationship with his dog. We are monitoring his behavior to make sure there is more love than hate.

soccer.

Parker has started up some soccer practice. With other members of our ward we have plenty of kids to have practice and then a short scrimmage afterwards. The girls are very accomplished. The boys are always entertaining and working really hard. Once a week for about an hour. The kids love it and then they still want to play at the playground when we are done. We can't wait to show the dads how well the kids are doing. Here's Parker waiting to stop the ball with his foot. He has some great balance.
We always need to stretch.
On the sidelines Lincoln mimics the other kids.

rolling over.

Henry started rolling over. I thought I had video but I can't seem to find it. Henry does really well at picking up his feet and rolling to his left side. As of May 5 he hasn't found comfort in rolling to his right side. Parker and Lincoln are good companions in hanging out with Henry on the floor.

April 1 - Silly movies

For April fools day we decided to make silly movies. They did the crazy things I asked them to do. I do enjoy my boys. They bring a lot of happiness. These may not be as entertaining as the Pancake video but it's a part of our life. Enjoy.

Pancakes, by Tamson Weston

Bye bye sticky hands, see ya sticky face.Magic? Lincoln doesn't like to share his secrets but perhaps you can guess how he accomplishes this trick.

Welcome Home.

Our Temple is going to be rededicated on May 1. We are very excited. We visited the Temple with friends on Saturday and we helped on Tuesday. The boys didn't really like the booties that we needed to put on. We ended up holding both Parker and Lincoln while pushing Henry in a stroller. Towards the end of the Temple tour Parker did ride in the stroller. Henry weighs a little less so it was better to hold him. We tried to invite the Spirit so we could really enjoy the temple. Parker liked it but I think that we created a few moments where he wasn't able to think about the Temple or Jesus; for instance the booties. Lincoln kept saying "this is a good place" and he really enjoyed the Christmas Tree (chandelier) and the cows (oxen in the Baptistry). Henry did great looking around enjoying the pictures and lights.I am so grateful to have the temple back. I know we aren't able to do temple work but just going to the Temple has made me so much more happy. I really love being able to walk on the Temple grounds and feel my Saviors love. I feel like a little kid again getting giddy over simple things.
Willie took Parker to the temple one morning and then I went with Lincoln when they returned home. It was nice to spend some one on one time with the kids and to show them the temple. Someone pointed out to us that it may be the last time that we get to see our kids in the Celestial room before they return to the Temple for themselves. We are an eternal family and it's great to be with our children in the temple right now. I wish I had taken them every day.

Little tidbits about the Temple. The old chandelier was taken down, ground up and put into the stain glass in the celestial room. You can see a fox, a bear and a dear in one of the instruction rooms. There is a glass wall for viewing in the Baptistry where little kids kept running into, Lincoln was one of them. The base boards were made in China. The chandelier looks like a Christmas Tree. The old parking lot was turned into a beautiful area to walk around and enjoy the flowers, grass and trees.
We love the Atlanta Temple. Welcome home.
