Graduation

Aug. 4, 2012
A whirlwind of events this day.  Sadly I'm writing this down a few months afterward so I don't remember all of it.  We began by having to take Caroline to the doctor to check her biliruben levels.  We needed to get our van from the dealership who had just fixed the transmission.  I seem to remember trying to get the house cleaned up for the packers the next day.  I remember rushing to get Willie out the door and dinner from Roasters.  Willie went with his brother and dad downtown while the rest of us got ready for the night.  Caroline was less than a week old.  She did wonderful.  We had plenty of seats to watch graduation.  I'm grateful it was a pretty quick graduation.  Willie had the biggest smile on his face this day.
Before the ceremony began I had left to feed Caroline.  It was perfect timing because I saw Willie walking with the other graduates to get seated.  It was a fun surprise.  Kim did her best to get a good picture of Willie.  The Fox Theater wasn't really set up for taking pictures.  I'm pretty pleased with the pictures Kim got though.  After the ceremonies I had once again gone to take care of Caroline and when I stepped out of the bathroom there was Willie trying to find all of us.  Wow.  This was a crowning day.  I am so proud of Willie and his dedication to going to school for such a long time.  I am grateful that we have a job.  Willie is a great husband and father.  Way to go Dude!
Here are the photos from the night.

Siblings.  These few photos got me a little teary-eyed.  Thanks to our family for supporting us.

Everyone comes in.

July 31, 2012
Joan and Anna flew in and were greeted by many happy kids.  We also were joined by Jared and Rach who drove over 9 hours to visit with us.  The following day we received the rest of the gang, Kim and Charlene, Jer and Kim and my Grandma Glenna.

This was one great thing about not having everything packed yet.  The kids were all able to play with all the toys that we still had out.  It was great and they all played by themselves for awhile.  We were happy to have Tori and Garrett play with the boys.

Oh yes and we were glad to have Grandma Joan play Lego with Parker.

One activity that everyone was able to squeeze in was the trip to the Georgia Aquarium.  I knew I wouldn't get to go but I had seen it within the last six months.  I am grateful that Joan stayed to help me get a few more things prepared for our move in just a few days.  I don't have any comments for this part of the post so just enjoy.

Uncle Jared getting a photo of the group before the awesome dolphin show.

Oh yeah, one of the rules at the aquarium is 'no outside food.'

I love this photo of Tori, I think it is awesome.  Thanks Kim for some of these great photos.
