Lincoln's Birthday!

January 27, 2013
A little unwilling at first to enjoy the day, Lincoln quickly turned his glare into smiles for the entire day.  Four years old.  Immediately he started saying things like 'when I'm five...' and 'when I turn five...'

Awesome new Lightning McQueen blanket to encourage Lincoln to sleep with a blanket to keep him warm.  He likes to come in our room to sleep with us when he gets cold.

 Parker.  Sick.
 Disc golf for kids.  Fun.
The grand present.  Finn McMissile and Siddeley the airplane.  What a hit.  Lincoln absolutely loved his birthday.

I love this kid.  He has gone through so many emotional trials in the last six months and he has born his burdens well.  He likes to joke with us and tease us.  He loves to play outside in shorts when it's way too cold.  He 'loves everyone.'  Lincoln loves to dance.  He loves to play cars and pretend play.  He is so sweet and cuddly at times.  We love you Lincoln.

Getting By.

January 2013
This month we passed the sickness through our family.  I good month of at least one of us being sick.  We did overcome it.  Here are a few things we did to pass the time.  I tried putting Caroline's hair in pony tails.  Lincoln thought Caroline looked like a moose with the pigtails.

 Making ramps for the cars.

Hair cuts didn't happen.  Linc's hair was super long, but I absolutely love when he is happy like this.
Caroline turned six months old.

Utah: Part 2

January 2013
Harrison family time.  Parker was sick again, with an ear infection this time.  We were blessed to see the doctor who delivered him, who also happens to be Willie's old Bishop.  :)  The kids opened a couple more presents from Grandma Joan.  They got new Lightning McQueen games to play in the car.  Fabulous!  (Lincoln gave his car a bath when we got home, too bad we couldn't resurrect it).

Uncle Jake did an awesome job over Christmas building a way cool sledding hill.  It was fun going side to side on his race track.  The two little boys had such a blast!

Parker missed out on the fun.  He stayed inside the whole time.
Caroline was sporting her new hat from Nana and Grandpa Kim.

Nap time for Caroline was on Grandpa Kim's shoulder. Awe how sweet.
Inside we had some hot chocolate, Yum!  We also tried an old time favorite of crackers and Easy Cheese.  I think I will stick to having cheese cut up. :)  The boys played trains with Uncle Jake.

Utah: Part 1

January 2013
Our first stop was to my parents home.  My dad had a nasty cough and eventually it spread through our family, Caroline never got it.  It was nice to relax and not have much planned.  Poor little Cooper had RSV and we didn't get to see him much.  I would have liked to have held him a little more too.  We had our family Christmas party where all the kids opened their presents.  Lincoln received a new Angry Bird shirt from his cousins; he walks around saying 'I got this shirt from my cousins.'

A lot of our time was consumed by the Wii, specifically Mario kart.  I'm not sure how to regulate the time my kids want to play on the Wii or some hand held device to play Angry Birds.  We don't have those things and I kind of hope we never do.  But my kids are always over someones shoulder watching them play a game.  You can see that they REALLY want to play.

We did take half an hour to go out into the cold to do some sledding.  Henry didn't want to be there from the moment we put him in his snowsuit.  Linc. was scared of the dogs running around.  Parker enjoyed the sledding.  Caroline had a nap.

The big thing in front of Willie had a fire going.  A great way to stay warm when doing something fun.
Brady had a crazy idea to take the two sleeping babies down the hill for a run.  Okay, sure.  They were doing well until the bottom.  On video was have captured Willie crashing with Caroline in his arms, rolling over her and landing.  Amazingly she stayed asleep the whole time.  I could not believe it!  Copper woke up at the end of his ride.
 Love Uncle Brady.

Caroline and I didn't make it to church on Christmas Sunday so we got her in her Christmas dress the next Sunday.  She slept the whole time in her car seat, covered up.
I love this one of my dad and Caroline.

 Cooper.

Bowling with Brady, Erika, Cooper, Terrah, and Anna.

We had some time with Grandpa Kim and Nana.
