check my email

The boys are always saying, "check my email." They love their new computers, and so do we. Lincoln has his favorite song that he will repeat over and over. He pushes the button until his favorite song comes up. I was a little surprised to find out that it's a classical one. They love that the computer says their name. I like this feature as well because they don't fight over one or the other they have their own. Parker enjoys playing with the keys that let's him play music himself.
Yep, this gift was a winner. Thanks Grandma Joan.

Before and After.

A few weeks ago we decided it was time for a haircut. All the boys had one, Lincoln's was the biggest mop. Looking back I probably could have styled it like the Bieber kid, he would have been so hip.

Opposite Day.

Yes the pants are one backwards too.
Oh yeah, he did dress himself this day. He is getting to become so talented.

Exercise.

Now that I am not pregnant and Henry is a little bit older I have decided to get into shape. Mainly I want to build my endurance. This goal has only been in the process for a couple of weeks. Willie has been willing to help me in my goal. We have done mediocre in beginning my goal but things happen. Since we don't get too much time to go running we have decided to make time after dinner but before bedtime. This gives us one hour to make our outing. We get home a little late and the boys are wired so bedtime is pushed back most of the time. Since our dependable Combi stroller is a little lacking on the wheels we had to get a new stroller. By the way I love our Combi, it's been all over the world with us and has always been great for the kids. So the new stroller is a jogger and it's great. Willie pushes the two big boys and I
push Henry is our old single Graco. We have too many strollers now.
Parker has been noticing Willie and I exercising a little more. Last night as we were getting the strollers ready Parker said he wanted to run with us. Our run was going to be short because it was getting late and we decided to make a stop to pick some things up. We consented thinking that he would be done running before we made it out of the gate of our complex. Parker was so cute as he started stretching with us, getting ready for the big run. He ran all the way to the gate and he stopped for a breather. Little did we know that he wanted to keep going. He would run really fast for 40-50 feet then he would stop and catch his breath, then he'd continue on. He would have run all the way to our destination if we would have let him but we had to cross a few streets. He had the biggest smile on his face when he was running. He loved it and I loved it too. I wish I had a picture of this exciting moment to share but it's only in my head and I hope to treasure it forever.

Henry

Henry's four months old now. Wow. Life is getting a little easier. We can focus on happy moments and we can enjoy good times. I always remember with the other boys that once they were four months old I could sleep a little better and be a little happier. I have really enjoyed watching Henry (when possible). He is becoming a thumb sucker. We've never had one. I'm not sure what we will do about it. With Parker he lost interest in the binky pretty quick but loved his bottle a little too much. When the bottle went away so did the milk. With Lincoln we decided to push the binky more than the bottle. Well that thing is always in his mouth, who knows when he will loose the binky. What's the trick to the thumb sucker though, we can't throw it away once it becomes a big time habit.
Something else that I've noticed about Henry is that he loves to be rocked to sleep. My mom had said that he really liked having his face tickled when he was falling asleep but I thought it would stimulate him and wake him up more. Not the case. This kid loves it. Just today I was rubbing his arm and slowly he fell asleep. Frequently through the week I will tickle his face and sure enough his eyelids get heavy. I remember my mom doing this to me when I was little. I've tried it on the older boys but they didn't really like it. Parker enjoyed it more when he got a little older (around 2). Every kid is different. We love all of our boys. We have loved having Henry in our family. We will continue to love him and watch his personality blossom.
We have great kids. We have hard times but even in the midst of the difficulties we find a small smile to make our day. The other day was a horrible one. As I was trying to lay Lincoln and Henry down at the same time with Parker coming into the room I was in and beginning to play trains there was a small moment where Lincoln said "I lof Enry" and then gave him a "kiff." Tender moments in trying times.

Birthday Blues.

What a day for Lincoln. He's two! I wish we could have gone all out for his birthday but we had an interesting day. Parker turned out to be sick. He threw up a few times during the day. We didn't really want to do too much because Parker was sick. It was a nice day outside though.
This first picture shows a happy Lincoln. As we started to sing he didn't want to hear it. He would say "nnooooo!" anytime we started up. I suppose we will leave the singing up to him next time. Mickey Mouse pancakes were the breakfast treat.
At the end of the day at dinner Lincoln was on his chair trying to get down. He's done this a thousand times but this time he slipped and landed on the hard floor right on his head. I was so nervous. He was starting to get a bump on the back of his head where his spine and head meet. Luckily he didn't have a concussion and his bump went away by morning. The poor kid was a little sad at the end of his birthday. We made pizza his birthday dinner.
Lincoln enjoyed his new Fisher Price garage and ramp. He loves to race his cars down the ramp. Parker also loves Lincolns toys, especially "Toothless" from "How To Train Your Dragon."
We celebrated his birthday a little more on Saturday, a few days later. The sun was so nice and warm. We took the boys miniature golfing. Lincoln loved it. They had so much fun that they wanted to stay and play some more. Perhaps we will go again another time.
Parker was feeling better and we could enjoy the cake outside. Lincoln loves Lightning McQueen so I made a cake with the road and then we put the figures on. I didn't want to attempt to design McQueen himself. The sad part was that the cake was three days old by the time we pulled out the candles. I prepared it the night before his birthday.
I love when we celebrate for more than one day. We tried to get a skype call with his Aunt and Uncle but it didn't work out. Kim and Jer missed out on him opening their present. This is his reaction though. Thanks guys.
The box was later used for other purposes. You know how kids are with the boxes!
So here's to our birthday boy! Lincoln we love you lots.
