Combe time.

Willie and I planned to go on an anniversary trip of some sort. To some point it worked out. We've been married six years and we have a four year old whom I have never spent a night away from. We wanted to have at least one night away from the kids. Thanks to my parents and Willie's mom. My parents provided us with a hotel stay and golf while Joan watched all the boys. Thanks so much. We stayed at the Homestead in Provo. It was such a beautiful day and we really enjoyed it. My sisters had run in the Ragnar race the day we arrived in Provo so they weren't up for golfing with us. I can't figure out why.
Here is the picture of my sisters and their Ragnar Team. Willie and I up at the Homestead golf course. Here is a part of the beautiful view we were able to enjoy while golfing. We also loved the smell of the outdoors, it was so incredibly fresh!
My golfin' mom. She's so good at golfing. She is in a women's league that plays every Monday. She doesn't get to go all the time but at least she gets out once in a while.
Here's my dad. I love the way he sits. It's something I will always remember. It reminds me of my Grandpa a little.
I would say that Willie and my dad are evaluating the course to find out the best ball placement for the hole but in reality they are looking at the valley talking about what is out there. My dad always has information on places and what's where and who's building what.
It was fun to see wild life. Here is a mother and her babes.
A great flower that had a beautiful smell. We didn't know the name but it really was nice.
Once we were off the hill we got down low enough to where the Utah rains had flooded parts of the course. Before we made it to Utah there had been an overload of rain to where the rising water levels were always on the news. Many people were being cautious around the rivers. The rivers really were moving fast. Willie and I also were able to enjoy a natural springs and visit with my sisters that night. The next day on our way back to Logan it rained. I'm glad we could enjoy a beautiful day.
Our first night at my parents house we had Ligori's pizza. Ligori's and Tony's are pretty much the same but I always crave it when we are in Utah. I could have eaten from either of these restaurants many times but we only enjoyed it once. The kids really wanted to sit next to each other.
Henry enjoyed a good meal. He's still working on eating from a spoon. It's a little messy at times but he's doing good.
On a paticular day we had planned to visit with some friends who now live in Salt Lake. Turns out that Parker woke up throwing up so we had to cancel. We never did get to see them. Bummer. We did however take the time to take Lincoln to the splash pad with his cousins. Parker and Willie stayed at the house and I took the other two. Here are some fun photos of Daxton running through the water.
The water was really cold and it was windy. Lincoln did have fun in the end. He loved running through the water.
Henry had a good time too. He crawled around and found many things to put into his mouth. He always has something to put into his mouth.
Reagan. I love the blue skies.
These three were all born in the same year. Mckinley was in Feb. the other two in Oct. My sisters and I have done that twice now. The first time it was Kaylee,Parker and Logan. Now it is Mckinley, Henry and Reagan.
I think this one is kind of fun of Lincoln. A little washed out but still it's fun.
Our little super model. I love it when she poses. She's been working on it for a few years now. Jordan is awesome.
Before the boys came the girls didn't pay much attention to what was over the hill. Can you guess what it might be? Trains! There is an active train line behind my parents house so it's nice to visit them and see the boys run out to see the trains. One morning I walked out to find Parker wrapped up in a blanket laying on the porch waiting for a train to come by. What excitement.
The four of these kids layed down next to each other with their sippy cups to watch a few movies. I'm glad that the boys had so much fun with their cousins and that their cousins always encouraged my boys to play with them.
When someone was missing we could probably find them outside on the golf course. I love all the grass they have to play on. The hill was so much fun for the kids to run on and play with their cousins.

Logan.
Jordan.
Parker taking after Jordan with the posing. Those two had so much fun.
Weeks after our trip I ask the boys what their favorite part of the day is. Lincoln will respond with something like "when we played with Joardy and Kaylee and the candy/parade." Lincoln had fun at a parade we went to. Hopefully more on that later. :)

Sittin' on the Front Porch Lookin' In.

One thing I love about visiting Utah is that we get to enjoy being in a home with GRASS and a yard for the kids to run around on. I love the peacefulness of just enjoying good company with no humidity or mosquitoes. Life can be enjoyed watching the kids have fun. I wish I could remember good stories from out trip but I'm writing this about four weeks after we got home. The pictures are a good reminder of what we did and some of the fun we had. Now this first picture obviously doesn't have grass but it's fenced in and the kids had fun with the dirt. Even if there was no grass we were safe enough to let our kids outside to enjoy the outdoors.
Down the street a new building is going in and the boys and Tori had fun climbing around in the rocks. We just had to make sure that they didn't throw the rocks while someone was in front of them. Since Parker has learned to use the potty he was able to experience on of his first times in a port-a-potty. It wasn't too bad for him.
Tori was a treat. It's amazing to watch the difference between a boy and a girl. Tori really enjoyed putting clothing on and shoes. She REALLY liked the boys' sandals, particularly Lincoln's.
The two older boys enjoyed playtime with both Nana and Grandpa. I always enjoy when the grandparents get down on the ground with the kids.
Building castles and towers were always fun. The car mat was a great hit as well. Grandpa Kim has some nice skill in building towers.
Henry enjoyed crawling around. It was a new trick of his just before we left to come to Utah. Henry loved to smile at everyone, as long as he was in mommy's arms.
A few times during the trip we went out on the front porch and enjoyed the company. We watched the boys and Uncle Jared and Willie run down the sidewalk. They all had so much fun chasing each other.
Nana took the kids to the end of the road. I'll tell you what, I didn't know what to do with my self when the kids were being entertained by someone else. Thanks for giving me a little break everyone. Uncle Jared and Tori had fun on the walk.
Parker and Uncle Jared really bonded during this trip. They had fun tackling and tickling each other.
Henry is always sticking his tongue out. I really liked that on occasion I could give him to someone else and that he had fun and didn't cry.
Okay so here is the delicious fruit dip that Aunt Kim introduced us to. You use some marshmallow creme, some mixed berry whipped creme cheese, some orange juice and I think that's it. Really good with Strawberries and Pineapple, two of my favorite fruits.
I decided to get some sidewalk chalk so that we could leave some love with Grandpa Kim and Nana. It's not permanent but it was a fun thing to do with the nice weather. The boys really love to draw on the sidewalk. See here is another picture of Grandpa Kim getting down on the ground.
"Uncle Jer look a hairplane" -Lincoln "Jer Jer look, look a airplane"
We have here some lovely ladies on the front porch enjoying being outside.
Here's Parker laying down in his outline.
I remember pictures of me with my Great Grandparents. I'm glad that we could get a few with Great Grandpa Thede.
Here are the four generations. The best is that Great Grandpa is reading to Parker. How sweet. It may not be as good as a posed picture but still it's pretty fun to see them all together.
Oh how precious. Uncle Jer and cousin Tori
We had a request for a children photo. We realized that Anna was missing but it was the last night we were all kind of together. Sorry we don't have you in the image Anna.
Here's the grandchildren with grandparents. We'll just say that it was bedtime.
I want to thank everyone for being so cooperative to let me take their pictures. It's kind of fun to have almost everyone. Sorry Anna. Here we have Jake and Terrah.
Kim and Jeremiah.
Jared and Rachel. We even got one of me and Willie. Thanks Jared and Rach.
Well we were taking pictures of everyone so why not take on with the kids too? Out of four shots we quickly decided this was going to work since the kids were going South anyway. Not bad they were all looking forward.
Charlene's picture is so fantastic. I love her smile. Yeah!
