Winter Fun.

July 29, 2015
In the heat of summer I am posting about winter.  I know it's kind of backwards but it was fun to post these photos.  The kids were so happy during our best snow storm to go in our front yard to sled. It was a bit too cold for Henry so there aren't many photos of him.  He chose to play indoors.  The kids has so much fun and we had our neighbors playing with us for a little while.  The snow was powder soft.  Great for skiing, but not great for building a snowman.  We waited a few days for the sun to melt the snow a bit and then it was perfect for building a snowman which we did with delight and the weather was very warm for the building process so we put our snowman in the shade.

I love how happy this little one is with her dad.

I love this photo  because it seems as if Linc is really getting some air, but really you can't get that much in our yard.

What a great brother, going down with Caroline.

There weren't many options for our snowman's face.  Lemons and chocolate chips.

A Little Bit of Fun.

April 19, 2015
We traveled back to Utah in the winter time and visited with my Grandma Ellen in the nursing home. It was great to talk to her.

Lincoln's birthday!  He's growing up so fast.  He invited a few friends from school and church.  The theme that he wanted was 'Skylanders'.  I did what I could.  Each guest was given a punch card with eight elements on it.  One activity took place for each element.  Some of the games included target practice with nurf guns, popping a balloon by sitting on it, an explosion (which we thought would have gone a little better), a game of dropping the clothes pin into a jar, and a few others.  Each activity kind of related to the eight elements found in Skylanders.

What a bunch of super cute kids.  I wish we could have had more of them over.
Lincoln's cake was supposed to look like the console thing that the skylanders guys go on.  For our little dude it was great.
During Christmas we had saved a bunch of milk jugs and filled them with water then put Christmas lights in them.  It stayed cold for a long time so the ice inside each jug was still there and we didn't want to recycle them with a bunch of water in them.  I put them in the backyard to get a little more heat but the kids found them and had a blast for awhile.  Throwing milk jugs with ice in them.  Surprisingly nobody was ever hit (many close calls though).

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things.

February 27,  2015

Where have we been in the blogging world?!  Well turns out our computer decided to stop allowing the internet to work.  The computer still runs, just no internet access.  Willie and I wanted a new computer but not THAT soon.  We waited and waited and waited to get a new one, one that we wanted to save up for.  Now we have a computer and I can get back in action to posting every once in awhile but maybe this will help me get on the ball about printing the blog into a book.

Our kids are growing up so much.  Parker is in 2nd grade and Linc is in Kindergarten.  The others really want to go to school.  Willie is working hard.  A lot has happened (but not really) and I will try to get what I can on the blog but it's so hard to go back.  It's just a lot of everyday life.

Here's to getting back in the blogging world.

More Of Our Little Visit

This is when we found out my sister is having a baby.  So now two sisters are having babies!
The kids were so funny.  They all went to Grandma and Grandpa's room to find shoes.  Then after trying some on for size they coordinated a little dance to put on for the adults.  They would come out laughing, shake their booties, then blow a kiss laughing the whole time and then go back to do it again.  The influence of the oldest grandchild, I love it.
Perhaps soon I will find the pictures Willie took while I was away.

A Short Visit to Utah

May 22, 2014
We didn't waste time getting some vacation time in after school.  We headed to Utah for a visit.  We stayed with my parents for about a day and then I left with my sisters and mom back to Colorado while Willie took the kids to stay with his mom.  Jordan really knows how to make the kids laugh.  She will tell them stories that are super funny to the kids.

This tree is one that everyone needs to have their picture in at some point.  This tree has been around for my whole life and has provided so much happiness.  It's an apricot tree.  We used to pick apricots putting them into the metal buckets and then wrapped around the tree was the scale where folks would weigh their produce.  This tree was perfect for climbing in.  We have had so many pictures in this tree.  I think soon this tree won't be around much longer.  It sits in front of my parents home.

Mckinley let us use her stylin' car.  What fun it was to drive it around.

This picture cracks me up because of Henry's excitement, throwing his head back laughing like a mad man.

We will have to wait 13-14 years before he can drive her around again.

Last Day of 1st Grade!

May 21, 2014
Parker's last day of First Grade.  Such a wonderful day, the sun was shining the kids were happy...well for a little bit.
Here's Parker with his teacher who just happens to live on the same street as us.  Yeah for Mrs. S.
When we got home after playing with friends for a few minutes then we pulled out some water, but mother nature decided that she wanted to play too.

The sun was shining but the rain came and the kids had fun playing around with the sponge balls that Aunt Terrah made for us awhile ago.

I love when you can see the sun but in the distance or sometime close by you see the beauty of the dark clouds.  I love when my kids are happy playing together enjoying life.
