Accomplishments.

What's not to love about Lincoln? We have really enjoyed having him in our family. Since being here in Boston he has learned many new things. He has learned to get up on his hands and knees, belly laugh, crawl, eat, and now he is standing for 20 seconds at a time.

Lincoln has been a great brother to Parker and we love watching them interact. Lincoln gives us the most beautiful smiles. I love to watch his eyes light up. The best is when Willie comes home; Lincoln starts bouncing up and down and smiles and giggles. He loves his dad so much.

Lincoln has begun to talk as well. He used to say 'ba, ba, ba.' Now he likes to say 'yeah, yeah, yeah.'

One of my favorite things is his froggy smile. My sister Erika and her husband Brady did a great job in picking out his frog. Both Lincoln and his frog have the same smiles.

We love you Lincoln!

Maybe it's actually that Ethan is way behind the game. :) He's finally sitting up on his own, but not anywhere near crawling. Lincoln is super, super cute! Caroline (with great concern): MOM! Dad doesn't have a copsume! I know he can be a boy fairy!

Lincoln: well we can play because I'm wearing' my skylanders shirt.

Caroline saw Willie with his shirt off and told him he looked like Captain America. Willie felt good about the compliment. :)

Henry: "How many times do I need to ax you mommy...? Fifteen!" He always says the number 15.

At 6:45 (before daylight savings) He would say 'Mom, it's sunny time.'

Parker and Lincoln say these things in reference to Mario Kart. "Grand Prix" with the x being what it is. Referring to a solo race Lincoln says "slolo race". They both love Yukon Ho a book about Calvin and Hobbs. They call is 'Yunkun Ho'.

July 2013

Speaking of his new gift that is a magician science kit.

I asked about his wand and how it was changing colors. "Is it just water?"

Parker: "Yeah I put tablets in there, not like real tablets but color tablets.

Summer 2013

Driving home on Sunday from Utah.

Henry: "I want Cars 2. I want Cars 2 Mom." Cars 2 goes in.

"I'm happy. I'm happy"

February 2013

Lincoln: "My bear has been silly, he needs to go to time out. My bear has been silly, I need to spank his bum and put him in time out." He spanks the bears bum. "I spanked his bum and he cried.

Henry: "My puppy is silly. I need to pank his bum." He spanks the puppy's bum. "I panked his bum."

After church today.

Lincoln: "Mom why are your legs brown?"

M: "I decided to paint them."

I was wearing black nylons. :)

From 2012 Summer Olympics

P: "Oh no Japan! I did not want Japan to be in six, but at least American came in first."

He also loved to say "Go Atlanta!" because he saw America written on the screen and thought it said Atlanta.

I just put Caroline's hair in pigtails for the first time. Lincoln came over and said; "Caroline looks like a reindeer head."

Looking at the ad Toys R'Us.

Parker: "We could get the phone that plays angry birds or trains. We could get dad a smartphone OR we could get one for FUN just us. Mom can we get a smartphone just for fun?"

Me: "No."

Parker: "C'mon! Now we'll never get a smartphone!"

I was sewing and Lincoln was on the computer. I think he was checking to see if I was listening.

Lincoln: "If I don't get a hug right now I'm gonna go to jail. If I don't get buckled in you are gonna go to jail."

Lincoln either has a plan or an idea. Lincoln was watching Parker put a marble down the marble run.

L:"Not a good Iplan buddy. Hey I want to do it."

A minute later..

P:"Hey guys not a good Iplan."

After throwing a little monkey up into the ceiling.

L: "Hey Parker I know how to do it. When I grow up I can get it."

Lincoln was playing with a pin that we received from the hospital when Henry was born. He began reading it this morning as I was making breakfast, "It says Lincoln needs a treat."

Me: "It says Lincoln needs a treat? Are you ready for it?" I give him a kiss.

Lincoln: "It says Mommy doesn't get a treat."

One of Lincoln's favorite sayings; "I'm gonna trow you in the garbage."

More recently he has switched it up and will say "I'm gonna slap you on the neck."

He will be sweet too and give lots of love.

After a trying day Parker said, "Mom, can you turn that frown upside down?"

Spring 2012

Teasing Parker one day I asked what we should name our little girl. I started naming off cities and States. Parker really likes the name Georgia and will mention that name frequently when we talk about the name of the baby.

Me: "Linc, what do you think we should name our baby girl?

Lincoln: "Um...Georgia Tech."

Spring 2012

Parker had a small beach ball under his shirt one day. Lincoln began patting the ball in Parker's tummy.

Lincoln: "Oh cute, hello baby"

A While Ago 2012

We finally got our water dispenser fixed by defrosting the freezer. Parker and Lincoln went to a birthday party on the same day.

Parker: "Best day in the whole world. We got our water working and we got party favors."

Simple joys in life.

May, 2012

Lincoln was holding a small bag of Cheez-its (not his favorite snack).

Lincoln: "These make my tummy funny and then I just laugh."

Parker had a small beach ball under his shirt one day.

Lincoln: "Oh cute, hello baby." Then he pat the ball in Parker's tummy.

We had been talking about a family getting sealed in the temple and about baptism.

Lincoln: "I don't want to get baptized."

Parker: " But Linc you get to have the gift of the Holy Ghost and then He will say to you ,'Hi Lincoln.'"

We have some little cars from Cars 2 that the boys have been playing with. I asked if the light blue car was Finn Mcmissile. Parker said: "No, it's Finn McMickleson."

Surely Willie put this thought into them. When Willie came home he just laughed because he said he had never said it before. Phil Mickleson must always be on their minds.

Willie, Parker and I were laying under the Christmas tree to look at the lights.

Willie: "Can you smell the tree?"

Me: "Yeah, if you get close enough, here smell this." I broke a piece of the branch off

Parker: "I want to smell." He takes a nice sniff. "It smells like poop."

I thought it smelled like a nice Christmas tree but I guess it smells different to Parker. Willie couldn't smell because his nose was congested.

This morning Parker came in the kitchen after he woke up. He laid on the ground in his blanket and then sat up and said:

"Hey mom, I had a dream last night and Jesus came to our house."

I asked if he remembered any thing else from the dream and he said that Jesus didn't see his bandaid. Although, when Jesus left he did see his bandaid.

Mommy: "His name is Sabor."

Parker: "His name is Zebor."

Lincoln: "No! He not four. He a leopard."

Parker: "His name is Zebor."

Lincoln: "No! He a leopard."

Parker: "You're lyin'."

Lincoln: "He not a lion. He a leopard."

Parker: "You're lyin'."

Lincoln: "No, he a leopard. The Tiger is a leopard!"

Parker had a charlie horse and told Willie, "I think the bone is just too big, maybe it's as big as a daddy bone."

We had the trunk or treat tonight. Lincoln said the family prayer and after saying the prayer said "I think Heavenly Fadder love my cany and Parkers candy."

It was raining today and the boys went outside in their rainboots. Parker lost a shovel and Lincoln had been talking about it. I told Parker to go grab his shovel and then I looked at Lincoln and said...

"and why are you all muddy?"

Lincoln looked at me for a second and then said "you need to go in the house." as if to say you should not have caught me mom.

Parker experiences a moment of stunned silence.

Willie to Lee: "Hamburgers."

Lee Westwood: "Seven o'clock?"

Last night Lincoln stayed up a little later than normal. He's still getting used to sleeping in a big bed. Willie went in their room to put some things away when he hear Lincoln jumping in bed. Willie went over to him and Lincoln looked up and smiled and said 'daddy.' Then Willie offered Lincoln some water. A short while later we hear a box of toys being dumped out. Lincoln was looking for 'queen' (Lightning McQueen), he couldn't sleep without him.

Parker said the prayer at breakfast this morning. After the prayer Lincoln said "Is that a great prayer Parker?"

Parker said "Yeah that's a great prayer."

Later in the day Lincoln was playing the piano. Beating down on the keys he said "Is that a great song Mom?"

My reply "Yes, that's a great song."

I'm glad that everything can be great.

Me: (laughing because he said kids instead of her name)"Oh, which one did you see?"

Parker: "Anya, she had on a pretty dress today."

Me: "What did you like about her dress."

Parker: "All the different colors." (it was brown and white)

Wow Anya, Parker really likes your colorful dresses.

I woke up a little ornery from my nap and was trying to not get mad at the kids. Parker had been annoying me by running around the living room knocking things over with a string he had found. I was loosing my temper fast. I asked/told Parker; "Parker stop running around knocking things over, I don't want to see it anymore."

He uses these endearing terms in phrases such as "My daddy will you play a game will me?"

While Parker was on the ground Lincoln came in and accidentally hit Parker with a bridge to their train set. Parker cried. I asked Lincoln to give Parker a hug and kiss and say 'I'm sorry.' After some contemplating Lincoln bent down and gave Parker a kiss.

Parker: no response, but it's quiet.

The boys gave Willie a little duet today in Sacrament with the song and actions to "I'm so glad when Daddy comes home." When the song was finished Parker said "That was a great song."
