Graduation

Oh the days of Joy School are over here in Georgia.  We said our last good-byes to teaching with wonderful ladies and their sweet children.  I will miss the great groups my kids were a part of.  This was the first year we taught with Lincoln and I think he enjoyed it a lot.  His group had little mats that we made that had their names on them.  This helped to round the kids up and start the lesson.  We would sing songs about the months of the year, days of the week and we would talk about the weather.  Lessons would range from ocean life to baking.  We tried to cover many fun topics for the kids.  We met once a week, which was good for me.  Graduation day we played games, ate too many sweets and gave out diplomas.
Lincoln running around the tree with Taylor.
Xander and Lincoln were the best of buds.  They had so much fun together.  We will miss them a lot.  Xander and Lincoln were separated in Nursery because they were too rowdy together.  They loved to run around and play.
Here is Lincolns group.  We have left to right; Hazel, Taylor, Xander, Lincoln and Carter.

The making of the graduation caps.  They got to decorate their own caps with stickers and markers.
Game time.  Musical chairs played with their mats.  The other game was a donut eating contest which my boys for some reason wouldn't participate in.  Thank you wonderful moms for all you did to help teach Lincoln; Miss Caroline, Miss Wendy, Miss Dani, and Miss Heidi.
Parker's last day of Joy School before he moves on in to the real world of Kindergarten.  Miss Alicia taught these great boys (girls were absent) how to make ice cream just by shaking some ingredients in a baggie.  Parker didn't really start liking ice cream until around this event.  He tried it and liked it.  We have tried to give him ice cream before but it was always too cold.  Jack is putting the egg in while Brendan, Parker and Josh watch.  They each had a turn to put the ingredients into the cookies.
Here are the boys shaking up the bag.
Enjoying some ice cream.
Josh, Brendan, Jack and Parker.  Missing from the group were Noah and Anya and Jada (who came on occasion).
Thank you to the wonderful moms who participated in helping Parker grow and develop and enjoy learning; Miss Lindy, Miss Holly, Miss Emily, Miss Alicia, and Miss LaLona.
